Welcome to the Cromarty Camera Club Website

We are based in Cromarty meeting at  Victoria Hall on Thursdays at 7.30pm.  We are the only Camera Club on the Black Isle and our members are drawn from as far afield as Inverness, Dingwall and Strathpeffer, as well as Fortrose, Avoch and Culbokie.

Our Syllabus includes monthly training sessions, competitions, members' presentations, and guest speakers. We have our own digital equipment such as a laptop computer and digital projector to enable us to stay up to date, project digital images, and train members in digital photography. In the summer 'closed season' the club holds field shoots, when members visit locations which present opportunities for photography.

Although were are a small club we have achieved success in inter club competitions, winning the Highland Challenge in 2006, and coming joint 2nd in 2007, and have recently started to submit entries to The Scottish Photographic Federation, suceeding in having members' work accepted for various digital  image presentations viewed by other clubs in Scotland. Some members also enter other national competitions with varying degrees of success.

We have taken part in a number of initiatives in the Town of Cromarty, such as staging an exhibition in 2005 to help commemorate V.E. Day, and running a photographic competition held in Cromarty as part of the Highland Year of Culture. To see the VE Day images click here.
